Corporate Charters LLC: Moving at the Speed of Business
Studies have repeatedly
shown that business
aviation helps companies
be efficient and nimble,
enabling them to compete
in an unforgiving
business marketplace.
Debbie Marcellino’s
Cleveland-based
Corporate Charters, LLC,
demonstrates this
reality every day.
Business travelers who
absolutely, positively
must be somewhere as
quickly as possible make
up about 85% of her
customers.
“A year ago, a mid-range
manager was stuck on the
West Coast,” says Mike
Marcellino, the
company’s sales VP. “He
had to be in Florida by
9:30 the next morning
for a very large real
estate transaction, but
his commercial flight
was cancelled. We got
the call late at night,
but we were able to get
him to Florida in time
to close the deal. He
was very happy.”
As an on-demand aircraft
charter broker,
Corporate Charters works
with a network of jet
charter services,
matching client needs
with aircraft location,
suitability and
availability. They’ve
arranged business travel
for management teams,
medical specialists,
real estate agents, and
others. One of the
company’s most regular
clients is a steamship
business that dispatches
mechanics and parts when
a freighter is disabled.
“Time is money,”
observes Marcellino.
Corporate Charters has
seen a dramatic upswing
in demand for business
this year. “People are
discovering they can
travel on their own
schedule, with complete
security,” Marcellino
says. “For instance,
when a company has
representatives who need
to make appearances at a
dozen plants across the
country in a short
period of time, there’s
no better way to go.”
“We are living proof of
our industry’s slogan:
‘No Plane, No Gain,’”
Marcellino concludes.
